X-Files Fanfiction

Below are the stories that I've written. Although I have bits and pieces of different stories on my computer, I haven't finished any fanfiction since 1996, so newer PhileFic'ers might not recognize my work. The majority of my work was written in 1995, when the mytharc essentially only went to the end of the second season. And yes, I quite frankly think my fanfic sucks. But then again, it's a stage of my writing life-- and in that sense, I have it here because regardless of how awful it is on umpteen levels, it's work that I was proud of when I wrote it (and honestly still am, in an embarrassed sort of way).

I write by expressing streams of thought. The stories below were all worked out in my head before I sat down at the computer. To someone used to organized fanfic writing, it might seem a little strange... but if you read them as a daydream, it might make more sense.

I'll add my WIP's and other writings as I get them online, so check back from time to time!

Hidden Emotions
Written in Spring 1995. This was my first fanfiction. I wrote it only a month after being introduced to fanfiction on atxc. It's shippy... it's sappy... it's a college-student's take on the relationship without going into NC-17. Yes, the restaurant exists--for those interested, Newbury Street, Boston, Mass.

The River
Written January 1996. A sequel to Hidden Emotions, and an attempt at a bit of angst. Lots of DrippingWet!Scully, too. It took my coat a week to dry out after this one!

Candles
Written Summer 1995. Spoilers: One Breath. This is my personal favorite. A vignette about Scully's inner search for answers. It's part of a larger whole... but the rest of the story is still in pieces on a disk. Hopefully I'll eventually get it done.

Broken Connections
Written Summer 1995. Directly follows Anasazi. Short angst piece about Scully's reaction to that phone call.

Pinecones
Written Summer 1995. A PWP piece... just a lazy afternoon of backyard chores.

Stress
Written January 1996. A PWP piece. Scully was a rebel... cheesy but effective 80's rock works to relieve a bit of overblown stress. Trust me. Great song to scream to...

*Hic*
Written May 17, 2000. Part of a Scuttlebutts challenge. Was intentionally written to be horrible and pathetic. It is. Good for some eye-roll exercises. Trust me. :)

I Believe
Draft copy written May 20, 2002. Post-episode for "The Truth," with little given away. Not complete, but I've had an idea since watching the last episode, and just had to start getting some ideas down on word. This first draft scribble is about fifteen minutes of writing's worth. It will be revised.
