This was my first Teresa Wentzler project, and the first project I ever started with blended threads. I started it in 1996 when I found it in an Arlington, Massachusetts stitch shop. One of my sorority sisters and I used to spend our Saturday afternoons before pep band games on the couch doing some stitching. After graduating from college in 1997, I worked the pattern from time to time until around 2001, never really making a lot of headway (to my eyes, at least). When I moved in with my boyfriend in 2002, it was packed away in storage and I forgot about it. I pulled it out of storage in December 2004 and began working on it in my January 2005 rotation, where I managed to find what had made me so frustrated (miscounted stitches). The break from stitching had honestly helped, and I made tremendous progress on my last rotation round. My copy came in a kit with 14 count Aida. At the time I bought it, I was afraid of stitching on linen because I mistakenly thought I would have to stitch everything over one (even on 28 ct. or higher)-- silly me! I do plan on finishing this one on the 14 ct., but hope to start a new one on dark linen at some point-- possibly with one of the color varations that other stitchers have come up with!

Yay! It's finished! I need to update this page, but you can find the completion photos over here.
